Don’t Put Your Crock Pot Away Chili Mac

I have tried for years and years to get my kids to eat chili. They just won’t do it. I love it, and so does my husband. I just get frustrated making an entire pot of chili only to have to make a completely different food for the kids. I don’t mind having leftover chili, because I can eat that for a few days. What doesn’t get eaten can go in the freezer and be taken out and reheated a month or so down the road if that’s what you want to do. There is one thing that my kids can’t get enough of though, like most kids, mac and cheese.

Julie’s Eats & Treats seemed to have offered me the best solution possible with this chili mac in the crock pot. I still got to get my delicious chili, but my kids could have their macaroni. They looked at it pretty suspiciously at first, but once I sprinkled some cheese on top, they gobbled it right up.

This is one of the heartiest and most filling recipes that I have in my stash. I like to make it on the weekends or even put it in the slow cooker before going to work. It’s a huge time saver.
