Crock Pot Jambalaya, Just Like What You Get Down At The Bayou

There’s one dish that I make that my husband really raves about. I mean, to the point where he tells his friends and family about it raves. That’s my jambalaya. The thing is, for so many years, I was just cheating and using a box kind that I found in the store and tossing some sausage in it. That was it. It was the easiest meal on the planet. It was loaded with salt though, and as we got older, I knew that wasn’t good for us. We had to do something differently. That’s when I went on the hunt.

I found this recipe on Group Recipes and it sounded like a nice and easy, low-salt, version of my most loved dish. I made it up one day, extremely nervous about what my hubby was going to think about it. It was WAY different than what he was used to. I mean, not even close.

As I held my breath he took a bite. And then another and another… he just kept shoveling it in! I think that meant that he liked it! He still raves about my jambalaya, but now it’s my new and improved version. I think he calls it 2.0.

Quick Tip: Heat it up as much as you would like… I like it hot!
