I grew up in a very rural area. We did not have many restaurants, but we did have a few Chinese restaurants that you could travel too fairly quickly. There was one Chinese restaurant that everyone knew about and loved because their food tasted so much different and better than the average Chinese place. I mean it was really food. I would purposely come home from college to go to this place!
My favorite food at this restaurant was their sweet and sour chicken! You could not go wrong when you ordered this meal! Everything was so good. The sauce was amazing, the chicken was perfectly battered and cooked. The rice was even fabulous. I still haven’t cracked the code on the ride yet, but I will one day.
I had never really tried to duplicate the recipe because I didn’t think that I would ever find it. But then I moved 1200 miles away from home. I tried millions of different Chinese restaurants and nothing ever compared. Some were good, but not as good. Then I found this recipe and I can’t describe how close it is! It’s so yummy that you have to try it.
If you make this recipe, your family will love you for it! Not to mention that it is super easy to make.

Quick Tip: Add a little vinegar to the sauce for an even tangier sauce.
