We were having a small gathering at our house to discuss some upcoming events that were going to be taking place in the neighborhood. We like to remain close as a community and we work hard to ensure that our kids have a fun and safe place to grow up. Each year we rotate where the meeting takes place, and recently it was our turn. That meant that I also had to prepare something for everyone to eat. A lot of the families usually do a bunch of appetizers, but I didn’t have time for that.
Instead, I took a recipe that I found on All Recipes for a zesty BBQ chicken in the slow cooker and got that going the day of the gathering. It was even easier than what I had expected. I had all kinds of time to get my house organized and cleaned up and get myself ready before the guests arrived.
I served these with some fancy homemade buns from the local deli and some chips and pickles. Everyone just raved about how tasty they were. This is a new favorite recipe of mine for big crowds, and for the family.

Quick Tip: Go ahead and toss your chicken in frozen. It will cook up just fine.
