Make Red Velvet Layer Cake Great Again!

When I think of cakes, my mind goes straight to things like chocolate or vanilla as a base. I love to make some really fun tasting cakes to. I loved to decorate them with fun colors and put tons of little extra yummy add-on items on top too. Really, I just love cake and I am not too afraid to admit it. Or eat it! I like to make my cakes really moist too. You can’t go wrong with that!

One cake that is delicious and I tend to forget about is red velvet cake. This cake is like the red headed step child of cakes! We all know it’s delicious, but we forget about it completely or it gets overlooked. Red velvet cake has that creamy cream cheese frosting too. Let’s not forget that! I am not a huge frosting fan, but I love this recipe!

It all started when I was talking to my friend Pam and she said that she had never had red velvet cake before. What??? Pump the breaks there a minute! Never had red velvet cake! From that point on it was my mission to make the best ever red velvet cake and so Miss Pam a thing or two. I made this recipe and it turned out to be absolutely delicious. I mean there was no denying by the look on her face when she took that first bite!
