The first person that talked me into trying French onion soup was my Grandma. I had seen her get it a few times while we were out to eat, and I loved the look of it. I finally asked her one day if she thought it was something that I would like. “Here, try a bite of mine!” Oh well alrighty then! It was so delicious, I had to order my own bowl right on the spot. I loved the flavor. All the cheese and onions with a crunchy little crouton here and there. Yum!
Accidentally one day, while I was browsing the internet, I found a recipe for French onion casserole on Recipe Lion. I honestly can’t even tell you what I was looking for, but when I saw this, it’s all I wanted to look at after that.
I added all the ingredients to my grocery list that very second and picked them up at my next trip to the grocery store. I made it for me and the family and everyone really liked it. Well, hot dog! A new casserole to add to my regulars. That’s excellent!
