Succulent Slow Cooker Bourbon-Mango Pulled Pork! Yes, Please!

One year I attended a hog festival with a friend of mine. She practically begged me to go. She said that this was the best festival to go to! She kept telling me about how much food was going to be there and that the smell in itself was worth going for. The hog festival did not really sound that appealing to me to be honest. I was really skeptical that I would have a good time. She kept at it so I decided to go.

Honestly, I thought this was going to be some sort of motorcycle festival. No offense to motorcycles they just scare the daylights out of me! However, much to my surprise this was more so a barbecue festival. My friend was right, this place smelled like heaven! Oh my goodness! I could go on and on about the smell. There was so much food everywhere that I was trying to figure out how I was going to try it all.

I didn’t quite get to try it all, but I will tell you that I did get to try some of the best barbecue ever. My favorite dish that I tried was a pulled pork that was made with bourbon and mangoes. DANG, it was so good! I had never tried anything that it before. I knew that I needed to have this recipe, which I now have for all of you. If you have never tried anything out of the ordinary with pulled pork then I urge you to try this one!
