These Old-Fashioned Crunchy Salmon Cakes Never Run Out Of Style!

The only time that I ever heard of eating salmon was when they were referring to the bears catching it out of the rivers and streams after coming out of hibernation. I mean, I knew that people ate it too, but I didn’t really believe it to be all that common. I figured it was left for the people that lived up in the mountains that didn’t have access to grocery stores. Then, I met my husband. He loved the stuff. I couldn’t believe how much he ate it. I was worried that he liked it more than me at one point. Well, maybe not that bad.

For our anniversary one year, I wanted to make him his favorite dish, but I wasn’t really sure how. I didn’t want to ruin a perfectly good fillet, so I started to look and see what else I could do with it. That’s when I found a recipe for salmon cakes on BigOven. It looked like something that I could get in line with.

So, I did my best to put these together for our special dinner, and it was a lot easier than what I had originally thought. After purchasing all the ingredients, I just didn’t think I could do it. I did though, and he was more than impressed. Now he wants them all the time! Of course… what kind of can did I open here?
