I don’t remember where I was when I was a little girl, but I do remember having a specifically fluffy, chewy, delicious chocolate chip cookie at some point. It was the most amazing little snack I had ever tasted. I had eaten a lot of chocolate chip cookies up to that point, but that one stood up against all the rest. Then, when I started making cookies myself, I did everything I could think of to try and duplicate that tasty little morsel, but it just didn’t happen.
No matter what recipe or method I followed, I couldn’t get my cookies to turn out the way I wanted to. Then, I found this recipe on All Recipes. In the beginning, it was just another cookie recipe. I wasn’t expecting a whole lot. I had tried them all.
When these came out of the oven, I almost cried at how good they looked. I could only hope that they would have the taste I was looking for. Much to my amazement, they did! I sat there and ate six of them right away while they were warm. I couldn’t help it!
