My Aunt Judy used to make the best cookies, cakes, pies, and breads. It seems like every time we went over to her house, she had something going in the oven, or something just coming out warm, fresh, and delicious. Whenever I walked in and smelled cinnamon, I knew that she was making my favorite… cinnamon bread. When she made that, I would hang around all day until the whole loaf was gone if she let me. Usually, she wanted me over at her house. She didn’t get a lot of company so she didn’t mind the extra person munching on her goodies.
I always wished that she would have taught me how to make that bread, but sadly she passed before I got the chance. I tried duplicating it for years but I could never get it quite right. It was good, but not as good as what she could do.
When I found this recipe on All Recipes, I figured it wasn’t going to hurt to give it a try. It was exactly like the bread that Aunt Judy used to make! It brought back so many lovely memories of going over to her house and visiting her. This is definitely my new favorite recipe!
