“Shake Your Leg,” Lamb Shank Stew!

When I think of stews I typically envision beef or chicken.

I might even come up with a good pork stew recipe. However, lamb is the furthest thing from my mind. It’s not that I don’t like lamb meat but it just isn’t a common food in my household. Is lamb a common food in your humble abode? I mean, we don’t have any lambs here on the farm…yet. But, you never know! Maybe one day I’ll convince my husband to let me get a few. Right now, I have some goats and they are always getting into trouble, haha!

Anyway, I went on down to the butcher market and picked up some lamb shanks so I could make this stew. I got all of my ingredients home, which weren’t many, and put the recipe together. The stew smelled heavenly as it was simmering in the pot. It tasted even better. Wow! Who would have known lamb shank stew could be so good?! I’ve definitely been missing out.
