If there is one thing that my wife and I bonded over in the early stages of our relationship, it was our love for cooking, and for eating! I think one of our very first dates was spent at one of those just-for-fun cooking classes. We had a blast, and we learned a lot. Both about cooking, and about each other. One thing was that we equally enjoyed spicy foods. The dish that we prepared that day was a spicy sausage pasta that was just incredible.
After we dined and left, we talked about making it again real soon, at one of our houses. We did just that a couple weeks later. The recipe was similar to this one from Group Recipes. We still make it to this day.
Our kids have taken on our love for spicy foods too, thankfully. We have this meal at our house pretty regularly. It’s one that I can make so that she can get a break from the kitchen!
She’s always happy when I do the cooking. She’s even more satisfied when it’s something she likes. This does both.

Quick Tip: If you can’t find habenero cheese, pepper jack is good too.
