Part of growing up in a small town is getting to know your neighbors. Part of never leaving a small town, is buying homes next to those neighbors. I love our tiny little community. Everyone knows everyone, and we all try to help each other out whenever possible. Part of that includes doing baby sitter sharing. Instead of paying for an expensive baby sitter, we will often just rotate kids from house to house so that everyone gets a turn to go out without having to pay an arm and a leg.
The last time it was our turn to go out, we decided to go have dinner with another family that was part of the baby sitter sharing program.
They made the most delicious spinach and artichoke chicken I had ever had outside of an authentic Italian restaurant. I was sure to have them write down the recipe so that I could make it myself at home.
We saved a ton of money that day on both the child care and a fancy dinner. It was a huge win!
