It’s A Sin Not To Eat A Piece Of This Heavenly Cake

Whenever I am making a cake for someone, I make sure I know what type of person that someone is. If I don’t know a person, I usually settle with cookies. Cakes are more personal for me, so if I will give you a cake, I want it to suit you. My brother, for example, is a strong guy. However, he also has his vulnerable side which he doesn’t show to anyone, so I will make him a chocolate cake. My husband is like a peanut butter cream pie- he is strong and sweet; he also feels like home to me. My sons are like a rainbow cake because they bring color to our lives.

A few nights ago, I made a cake for a friend. Amanda is a pretty strong woman who has a soft heart. It wasn’t her birthday, but she finally found the love of her life and I think that’s worth a cake.

I made this chocolate and caramel cake for her and brought it to her house to congratulate her on her engagement. I told her that the chocolate represents her bittersweet love story while the caramel represents that touch of sweetness that finally sealed the deal for her happiness.

She ate a slice in front of me and she loved it. She also told me how happy she was the she’s finally settling down. And of course, she asked how I made the cake.
