My husband and I had a few visitors over one night. It was the group of friends that we both know; the ones from college. These particular friends witnessed the development of our relationship and they have been there since time immemorial, giving us support and encouragement. It’s been so long since we had a get together because all of us had different career paths. These paths brought us to different states in the country, and that’s a major hurdle to easy reunions.
We made the most of that night. We caught up with each others’ lives- how we made our dreams come true in such a short time and how we are all coping about family life. It was a fruitful discussion, so very different from the gossips and complaints we had during college.
We all have kids now; and all of us have them as priorities. We want to give our kids a comfortable life and the emotional support they all need. As parents, there’s nothing more important than that.
Over such a serious discussion, we had a great time. I even made pina colada cake for dessert since most of them favored that cake. They finished the entire cake along with my hungry husband.
Pina colada cake and a great night with friends- sounds perfect, right? So if you want a copy of this recipe, please head on over to the next page.
