I have a love-hate relationship with almonds. I love almonds when I just nibble on them as a snack. I love almonds with chocolate- I always make sure I get my Hershey’s with almonds all the time. And I love almond in desserts. However, I find them totally addicting so I can’t stop eating them. I wanted to, but I can’t. I always find myself sneaking into the kitchen and pouring a few almonds from my jar to a small bowl. Yes, definitely addicting.
My husband finds it amusing-my nut addiction. Well, he also loves nuts, just not as much as I do. I think my love for nuts is bordering on obsession.
I love almonds so much in my desserts that even when I go out of the country, I always order something with almonds on it. I remember my trip to Hongkong before- I ate nothing but pastries with almonds because that’s the only thing familiar. Language barrier has been a huge problem for me.
Anyway, if you’re looking for an amazing dessert that will please anyone, then this toasted rice almond cake dessert is for you. All of the sweet flavors in this cake will definitely blow you away. I wish I am kidding, but I am not!
