Choco And Berry Loco- That’s What This Cake Is All About

When I first made this cake, my husband danced around the living room along with my sons. I would love to say that I was pretty embarrassed, but I wasn’t. Don’t tell him I told you- he’s quite the dancer. He’s actually a member of a dance troupe in college although he became inactive when he started with his on-the-job training. So anyway, they were too happy about this, or at least my husband. But his happiness was contagious my sons danced with him.

This chocolate raspberry cake is not something that I make all the time. Don’t get me wrong- this cake is absolutely divine. It’s just that it’s not the everyday cake you make just for an after-dinner dessert.

In other words, this cake is for a special occasion. When a milestone in our lives happens, this is one of the choices on the cake menu. This cake requires effort and time, and that’s something I can’t afford all the time.

Anyway, so when I made this, my husband couldn’t stop grinning. The look on his face when he finally got to eat a slice makes me feel that everything is worth it. My sons loved this too-even though they eat the cake a bit weirdly (they dunk pieces on a glass of milk using their hands).

Quick Tip: To make this cake a little more manageable, make the layers the night before, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap, and freeze them.
