Well, after a long search for the perfect fried mozzarella recipe, I came across this one. It is full of flavor, has loads of cheese and well, let’s be honest, oozes out perfectly like we all want it to when we bite into it. The best part about this is that it is unbelievably easy. There is no need to worry about making a mess or it being too complicated.
This is the easiest recipe to put together and keep together. Delicious! Check out what our friends over at Copy Kat had to say about this:
“You cant go wrong with this one, delicious crispy breading, with warm stringy cheese inside, tastes so good. It is very inexpensive to make, and you can easily match the taste of the restaurant’s version. Best of all you can make as much of this favorite appetizer at home.”
That is definitely true. I always make a double batch of this at home because everyone picks at it the moment they come out of the frying pan.
Ingredients
16 ounces package of Kraft Mozzarella cheese
2 Eggland’s eggs beaten
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 cups Panko Italian bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
1 teaspoons Italian seasonings
2/3 cup Gold Medal flour
1/3 cup Argo cornstarch
Instructions
If your cheese is in a brick, slice it thick and cut the cheese crossways to make triangles. Beat the eggs with water and set aside. Mix the bread crumbs, garlic salt, and Italian seasonings and set aside. Blend the flour with corn starch and set aside. Heat vegetable oil for deep frying to 360 degrees. Dip cheese in flour and corn starch blend, then in egg wash and coat with bread crumbs. Place carefully in hot oil and fry until golden; this takes just a few seconds so watch carefully. When golden, remove from hot oil and drain.
Serve with your favorite Italian spaghetti sauce and enjoy.
