Chunky Chicken Teriyaki Gets The Dinner Bell Ringing!

My husband and I have those weeks wherein we barely get to spend quality time with each other. During these weeks, he will come home really tired. I will force him to eat before he takes a bath and falls asleep; because that’s how he usually is whenever he’s too tired. These are probably the only times when he doesn’t care about his stomach; he just wants to catch up on sleep. My husband’s work is a bit unpredictable. There are times when he needed to stay overnight in the office without preamble.

During these weeks, I have my slow cooker ready. It’s really so convenient to have one at home because these times are inevitable since both of us are working. I don’t want to compromise my family’s meals, and this is my only answer.

Recently, I found the joy in cooking seasoned meat at the slow cooker. A few weeks ago, I cooked shredded chicken, which I was able to use for salad and soups. Then there was the pulled ribs, which I was able to make into a sandwich and stew.

This time, I tried chicken again, but with a special sauce. This chicken teriyaki recipe from Cooking and Beer is really very convenient for such a busy week. It’s a versatile recipe; and you can serve it the way you want to.
