When I first made these cookies, my husband thought they were too cute to be eaten. But of course, when I popped one inside my mouth, he couldn’t help but do that too. And he instantly loved them. I had to stop him from eating everything because these cookies were supposed to be brought to my brother’s house. They had a few guests over. Since my sister-in-law was a bit busy, he decided to ask for my help. The cookies were supposed to be my form of help. Thank goodness I was able to stop my husband before he gobbled them all up.
I saved a few for my family, of course. But I didn’t get to tell my husband until we returned home. He’s like a bottomless pit when it came to food.
My sons loved the cookies. I made these for several times already, but I just kept changing the jam. I loved my berries so most of my cookies had berries on top.
I tried this recipe with peanut butter and nutella too; and they were a hit with my family. You are actually free to experiment with what you like. You can’t go wrong with this recipe.
