My husband loves quinoa. He had undergone a diet a few months ago in relation to work (and I couldn’t understand because he’s not fat and he’s healthy as a horse), and quinoa was one of those he’s been eating the whole dieting months. Quinoa is an acquired taste for me. When I first tasted it, I was a bit uncomfortable with its texture on my mouth. But once I got used to eat, it also became a favorite of mine.
Our sons didn’t like it though. So every time I cook something with quinoa on it, I had to cook a separate dish for my sons. While they would try to eat it, they wouldn’t even finish the little serving on their plate.
And they’re growing boys so they need all the nutrients they can get. Maybe when they got older, they would appreciate the taste of quinoa. But for now, my husband and I will be the ones to enjoy the dishes involving this ingredients.
This quinoa casserole which I got from Jessica In The Kitchen is truly an amazing dish! I would definitely have my sons try this because it’s a bit different than most dishes I cook. The texture of the quinoa is masked because of the combination of the other ingredients.
I am pretty sure my boys will love this too. If you want a copy of this recipe, you can find it on the next page!
