This tortellini bake recipe is so good it made my friend my MIL exclaim, “Good Lord!” SMy MIL happens to be one of the best cooks I know. She’s been trained since she was a kid. Her mother is one of those who believes that to be a good wife, you need to be the master of the kitchen and of the house.
It’s the reason why ever since she was a kid, she already knew how to cook a lot of dishes. Back then I was too busy playing with my cousins and reading books. My family is a bit more liberated than hers so while Mom always told me I should know at least the basic recipes, she didn’t really make me stay in the kitchen and watch her. It was all because I wanted to.
My MIL, Sue, visited us all a few weeks ago. We gathered in one of our friend’s houses to have a mini get-together just for her. Most of us were wives who allowed our husbands to take care of our kids. Our host friend, who volunteered to cook everything for us, was a very gracious host.
One of the most notable recipes that night was her tortellini bake. The dish was so scrumptious I had to have another serving after the first. Actually, I wasn’t the only one. Even Sue, the ever great Sue, simply gushed over that tortellini bake and said, “Good Lord!” and nothing else. You could just see the pleasure on her face as she munched on the dish. I am sharing a copy of this amazing tortellini recipe on the next page. Enjoy this with your family!
