This vanilla cream eclair cake is perfect for a relaxing weekend night. I truly think you deserve a treat after a busy week full of household responsibilities or maybe even work. You and your husband deserve a quiet relaxing night, and one of the best ways to ensure that is to have a dessert that will accompany you. And this vanilla cream eclair cake is the perfect one to fill in that role. My husband couldn’t help but be happy about this when he first caught sight of this cake recipe. In fact, one Friday morning, he asked for me to make this. He must have seen the newly printed recipes I kept on top of my desktop computer. I told him it was best to make it the next day, and he agreed to eat it the next day as long as I will make it. And I did.
The next day, he played with both of our kids. All afternoon that’s what he just did. He always makes sure he spends his weekends with his family because work truly eats him during weekdays. It’s one of the things I appreciate most about him. I need to thank my mother-in-law the next time I see her for bringing up my husband the best way she could. Anyway, after dinner, the twins immediately got sleepy. Of course they’re tired from playing the whole day. While my husband put them to bed, I brewed us coffee and served the dessert he requested, which I made that morning. It was one of those quiet nights where we just talked. And it felt really nice to do that once in a while. On top of that, we had the perfect dessert to enjoy!
