This candy bar cake is truly out of this world! I grew up eating candy bars. I love candy bars! I remember how my mother used to confiscate the bars from me and my brother. Since candy bars have long shelf lives, she could stock them in our fridge and they could stay there for days and even weeks! The problem when that happened was that the candy bars became as tough as rocks. If only she allowed us to eat them, that wouldn’t have happened. Kidding! I knew my my mother did that and I now appreciated it. I have perfect teeth and at the same time, I have normal blood sugar. It’s the reason why even though I know my sons love sweets, I make sure they don’t eat a lot of them.
We always have a lot of candy bars at home courtesy of my husband’s siblings. Most of them lived nearby, so they always come and visit their nephews. The thing is, they always bring them candy bars and that’s not a good thing. They won’t listen no matter how much I tell them not to! So I always end up keeping them from my sons. But since I didn’t want to waste them, I use them in some of the desserts I am making. I most especially love melting those Hershey bars because they make for a good glaze. This recipe that I will share with you makes use of candy bars (any candy bars that you prefer)! And they all end up in this one heavenly dessert that I am sure you will not be able to forget for a long time!
