When I was a kid, my mother used to make these beautiful and tasty roll ups that looked like cheesy and meaty pinwheels. I remember wanting to share these beauties with my playmates because I wanted them to know how good of a cook my mother was. The thing was, I always ended up eating nothing because they all loved my mom’s cooking so well that they forgot to ask whether I actually had one prior to me bringing the food to share with them. Mom once told me that this was Grandma’s recipe. She just adapted them and put a little of her touch, but it’s still Grandma’s. And Grandma’s recipes will never grow old.
Now that I am a mom myself, I adpated a lot of my mom’s recipes, which were also grandma’s once upon a time. I think Grandma’s recipes never truly grow old. In fact, these classic ham and cheese roll ups are my twins’ favorites. They always fight for the last piece whenever I found myself making only a few of them. My husband loves them too; he loves them most with tea. Sometimes he also brings them to work because he said he’s too busy to eat sometimes so he needs something delicious to nibble on. The recipe for this classic ham and cheese roll ups can be found on the next page!

Quick Tip: You could add some spicy mustard or ranch dressing to the roll-ups before you bake them, or add in some onions, tomatoes, or olives.
I’m wondering—when these are cut, do I lay them on side, or up on the rolled part?
