These Cream Puffs Go Perfectly With A Cup Of Tea

Lincoln loved to impress the girl he liked in class. Since his momma was a good cook, he was able to do just that. For the past school fairs, Lincoln always won the Best Seller award just because he always brought his mom’s famous dessert pies. I would have done the same except that during that year, it was specifically instructed that the ones we would sell during the school fair should be something that we baked in the home economics class. It was supposed to be a group effort, but well, Lincoln didn’t want his record beaten. He still set up his own booth with a little help from a teacher who was friends with his mother.

On the day of the school fair, we were a bit surprised that we haven’t seen Lincoln yet. His booth was empty and it wasn’t set up. But we were all so preoccupied with selling our own food that we truly forgot about it until the school fair closed in the afternoon. Lincoln arrived with a huge duffel bag and huge eye bags. It so happened that the girl he liked specifically told him to make his own food for the fair or else he wouldn’t have a chance with her anymore. Poor Lincoln agreed and made his own cream puffs all night. However, it was too late because the fair already ended and he hasn’t even seen the girl. Me and my groupmates ate his cream puffs instead. It turned out Lincoln could really bake well too. His creampuffs tasted really good except they had the weirdest shapes. Lincoln was my high school classmate who was now a very good friend of mine. This recipe reminded me of him and his quest to impress his favorite girl.

Quick Tip: If you don’t have a pastry bag, you can cut the corner of a Ziploc bag and use that, or you can simply drop heaping tablespoons of dough. The bigger your cream puffs, the longer you’ll have to bake them.
