Butter Pecan Biscotti And The Care Of A Friend

Whenever I visit my friends, it’s not really just about a casual social call. Most of my friends are married and have their own families already. Some of them have children, while some are still enjoying the couple life. It’s not easy to be married. I grew up witnessing the struggles of a couple. My Mom and my Dad had their share of couple fights. Most of the time it was about work and responsibilities. But they survived through time and they’re still together now. It’s the same with my aunts and uncles. I knew they had and they still have their problems as married couples, but they’re still surviving because they already learned how to deal with it together.

Since most of my friends were young married couples, they are still somewhat adjusting to the married life. I don’t know what they’ve seen with me, but I am their go-to counselor. Since their husbands are also my friends, it’s quite hard to maintain a non-bias way of dealing with things. But since I am their friend, I try my best. But I mostly just encourage them. I don’t touch the personal matters. I just usually advise them on how to deal with their emotions. I think I’m helping them in a way and it feels great as a friend. It always feels nice to know that you’re helping your friends in your own way. It’s comforting. Just like this butter pecan biscotti recipe that will remind you of quiet and relaxing afternoon talks with friends.
