These bars are so incredibly easy to make. The base of these bars is oats, peanut butter (creamy!), and honey. They gooeyness of the honey and peanut butter holds together the oats and creates it into a bar once it is hardened. From there, you can play with it all you want. I have added chocolate chips, nuts, trail mix, dates, raisins, coconut and so many other kinds of toppings. There are just so many things you can add to this to personalize it to what you want. They always turn out great!
Check out what our friends over at Julie’s Eats and Treats had to say about these:
“This recipe is made up of rolled oats combined with peanut butter, honey, and a touch of salt – that’s it! There’s no need to bake them, press them into a pan and chill in the refrigerator until they firm up. I like to store these in the refrigerator, they hold together best if they are slightly chilled.”
This is awesome! An easy and totally delicious way to make homemade granola bars that are more delicious than store-bought!
