I love grits when they are perfectly cooked. My mother’s grits are perfectly creamy that you wouldn’t mind eating her grits every day either for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. She just makes grits so perfectly I once called her the Grits Goddess. My mom taught me her secrets, but I still couldn’t quite make the perfect grits. The thing is, my husband adores grits more than anything else in the world (I don’t believe him because he says that about most dishes), so I feel like I have to master the grits!
I have to express my gratitude to those wonderful people who share their recipes online. I finally found this grit recipe that will allow me to make something creamy and delicious instead of lumpy and kind of soggy. This shrimp and grits taste so creamy that even I fell in love with it. I served it to my husband for dinner just because he wants something warm and flavorful for dinner. He was surprised when I presented this to him, and was more surprised that it looked good. I had to refuse serving him another bowl, but I am glad he loves it! The recipe can be found on the next page!
