Pop tarts save the day! It’s my favorite expression every time I wake up and realize that, one, there’s no coffee. Two, there’s no bread. Three, there’s no fruit anywhere. Four, there’s only rice stacked in the cupboard and butter on the fridge. And five, I really need to do the grocery or else I would forever live my life in butter and rice. Rice doesn’t really taste good with butter alone. So always to the rescue is my stock of pop tarts that I’ve been eating as snacks actually. I love my strawberry pop tarts and I have about two boxes of them stocked just for my own snacking pleasure. It’s handy whenever I don’t have the time to prepare a decent meal and I’m suddenly hungry.
This recipe that I found over at Confessions of a Confectionista is a pop tart recipe. Except, it involves a lot of chocolate, nuts, marshmallow creme, and my happiness. Happiness because it involves my favorite things in the world. Happiness because I know that when I see this on my kitchen counter, it means I have the time to make them and enjoy them! This dessert is perfect for any mother who would want to make something rewarding for her children. They will truly love this!
