I love the movie Land Before Time. It’s about family and it’s something that never fails to touch me even though it was about dinosaus and it’s animated. It teaches life lessons. It teaches kids to be brave. It teaches kids the importance of parents, and friends, and family. It also teaches us the realities of the world and how we could deal with them. I admit that I still cry whenever I watch the movies. The little dinosaurs give you so much insight, making you learn so much from a movie that’s supposed to be for kids.
I persuaded my niece to watch it with me one time because I found a copy in one of the video stores I went to while I was looking for another movie that I loved. We ate the mini Cadbury egg cookies that I made as we watched. She kept comparing the dinosaur eggs to the eggs in the cookies (that was actually my purpose; my way of convincing her to watch it with me). My niece ended up falling in love with both the movie and the cookies though. She even cried when the little dinosaur’s grandparents were attacked by the bad dinosaur. I had to placate her after that. I gave Andy my copy because she said that my niece kept asking for one and she couldn’t find one. It’s all worth it though. The lessons of this movie will help shape my niece’s value system.
