This Brussels sprouts gratin couldn’t be any easier. Only 6 ingredients, plus a little bit of salt and pepper, and you’ll have a wonderful side dish for any meal. If you add more bacon or switch it to something leaner, for example ground turkey, you’ll get a full meal in one package!
Ingredients
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400 F. Grease a baking dish.
Cook the Brussels sprouts in lightly salted water for about 8 minutes until tender. Drain, and immerse in ice water right away for several minutes until cold. Once the Brussels sprouts are cold, drain well, and cut in halves or quarters. Set aside.
While the Brussels sprouts are cooling, cook the bacon in a skillet. Then reduce heat and stir in the drained Brussels sprouts. Season with salt and pepper then toss for about 1 minute to evenly distribute the seasonings.
Put the bacon and Brussels sprouts in the prepared baking dish. Pour cream evenly over the Brussels sprouts, then sprinkle breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese on top. Distribute pieces of butter over the bread crumbs.
Bake until golden brown and heated through, 20 to 25 minutes.
