Don’t be startled by the long list of ingredients; this sesame chicken is actually not that difficult to make at all.
Somehow I was under the impression that all Asian dishes would require a huge amount of talent and experience. I was proven wrong as soon as I tried this recipe! To make the chicken extra crispy, slice it really thin. And if you can, I recommend letting it marinate longer than 20 minutes – you’re going to want to let all those beautiful flavors combine nicely before you fry the chicken pieces.
Ingredients
1 quart vegetable oil for frying
Marinade:
Sauce:
To serve:
Instructions:
Combine all the marinade ingredients in a large bowl. Mix until well combined; then stir in the chicken. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Turn heat to low and keep warm, stirring occasionally.
Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375 F. Fry the marinated chicken in batches until cooked through and golden brown, 3 to 5 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
Serve chicken with rice, top with sauce, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Are there any vegetables in the asian sesame chicken dish? I see some in the picture but not in the ingredients list
I see what looks like red and green bell peppers in the picture, but not in the ingredients listing??? I might add sliced onion to the recipe also.
