You’ll Forget About Tacos Once You’ve Had A Taste Of These
In case you were wondering, I was showing off with my knowledge of Greek right there. Ha! I only speak a tiny bit of Greek, and most of it has to do with how to order something to eat or drink. I’ve been lucky enough to visit the Greek islands a few times, and I have to say the food is ahh-mazing! I could just sit there, in a cozy little local restaurant, and keep stuffing my face from the early morning ’til late at night. They sure know how to cook!
Pita gyros is one of my favorite dishes ever. During my last trip I happened to stay at a hotel that was right next door to this tiny kiosk, where apparently all the locals went to get a quick lunch. They served the most amazing gyros there! It was only about $3 so you bet I had one every single day! I’ve been trying to find a recipe that would be as delicious as those were, and this recipe here gets pretty close.
