Are you looking for a new recipe to try in your Crock Pot? Give this pierogi and kielbasa dish a go! You won’t regret it, I promise. My husband and kids instantly fell in love with this yummy pierogi and sausage casserole. It is very easy to make and cooks right in the crockpot. How convenient is that? Plus, the leftovers are to die for, if there are any! Typically, at my house, we don’t see any leftovers of this yummy dish.
When I made this meal the other day my husband and kids went gaga over it. Seriously, there wasn’t a pierogi or sausage left in the pot.
Ingredients
3 boxes of Mrs’ T’s Cheddar Pierogies.
4 cups of College Inn chicken broth.
1 (8 oz) block of Philadelphia cream cheese.
1 cup of Kraft shredded cheddar cheese.
1 pound of sliced kielbasa.
Salt and pepper.
Instructions:
In the crockpot, mix all of the ingredients together and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or on low for 6 hours.
Serve this pierogi with kielbasa warm with some fresh green salad and crusty bread.

Quick tip: I like to serve this delicious casserole with Bavarian saurkraut and crusty bread.
Sounds good!
Sounds yummy! Are the perogies frozen?
What size are the packages of perogis..
I am cooking this right now when is done is a creamy sauce?
i made it and it was really bad.
We don’t get Mrs. T’s pierogies here in Saskatchewan. Can you tell me the package size of the boxes, and are they frozen? Do I need to thaw them prior to putting them in the slow cooker?
I find the Co-op ones work great so do the Superstore no names ones. Any brand will so. I would go with the small packages and adjust the stock accordingly.
I looked up Mrs T’s perogies and they come in a 16 ounce box. So 3 pkgs would be 3 lbs.
I made this yesterday for dinner— it was NOT GOOD. It was very soupy not at all creamy like the picture. Hubby said I should NEVER make that again.
I made it yesterday. My came out to mushy. I don’t think I’m going to make it again. I wonder how it would come out if you bake it in the oven.
I was concerned at first. I followed directions. Throw everything in crock pot. When I checked on it it wasn’t mixed real well. I stirred it around to mix cheese and stuff and broke a few of the pierogis. After I mixed and let cook longer the sauce got creamy. Doesn’t look very pretty like the pic but has good flavor.
This looks good, but was gross.
Always read the comments first. 🙁
Awww mannnn just put it in the crockpot and now reading feedback! Just called husband and told him to eat before he comes home. Hahaha live and learn
We’ve made it many times and enjoyed it each time. Everyone’s tastes are different 🙂
I was right. He should have eaten before coming home. I have never in my 55 years of cooking had something as bad as this. I had PB&J. Hubby filled his plate, although I warned him. He are every bite cuz he believes if I went to the trouble of making it, he could eat it. He did, but ask that I NEVER make it again. Sooooo BAD ☹️
So sorry to hear you didn’t like it, Penny.
I am concerned now after reading the comments. I also wish I had read them before purchasing the ingredients. I will thicken some of the broth with a roux, then add the cream cheese until it melts like a gravy. And plan to fry the sausage before adding to release the extra grease onto paper towels. Might bake in oven rather than slow cooker. My store didn’t have mini pierogies but I wish they did! Fingers crossed.
Pierogies should never be cooked in a crockpot lol Boil them for a few minutes, then put them in a skillet with butter and brown them but never in the crockpot….
We like them in the crockpot, Cynthia 🙂
I will never make this again. The perogies all ended up stuck together. I didnt use my slow cooker. It was big enough. Cause i was cooking for my big family. I used frying pans then put the food into a big electric cooker i have. Ugh… the kids ate it. But i will not make it again. It sure didnt kook like the picture or anything close…
