It turns out you only need three simple ingredients to make these gorgeous treats! Of course, if you want to decorate them even more, you can add a few optional ingredients; rainbow sprinkles, chopped hazelnuts, you name it.
I personally don’t have the patience for that – I basically eat them the minute they are done! But sometimes when my kids want to help me out make these, I bring out all kinds of colorful sprinkles so that they can let their inner artist shine. And believe me, I’ve seen some pretty artsy treats, haha!
Ingredients
1 box of your favorite kind of cake mix
1 tub of frosting, any flavor
1 pkg almond bark, chocolate or vanilla
optional: sprinkles, shredded coconut, crushed nuts etc. for garnish
Instructions:
Make the cake according to package directions. Let cool completely.
Tear up the cooled cake and put in a large bowl. Add a tub of your favorite frosting. Mix with your hands until well combined (think Play-Doh consistency).
Make balls with your hands or use a small ice cream scoop to make it easier. Spread them out on wax paper and let dry for a few hours.
Melt almond bark in the microwave, in a medium size bowl. Dip cake balls into melted bark & set on wax paper to dry.
Decorate any way you like.

Quick tip: Store loosely covered, they will keep a few days. DO NOT refrigerate or the almond bark will melt & ruin your end result.
