Take A Chance That You Won’t Regret With This Crescent Roll Cheeseburger Bake!

This casserole is so quick and easy to throw together that you literally feel like you didn’t do anything to prepare this delicious meal at all!

Check out what my pals over at Group Recipes had to say about this awesome recipe:

I came up with this after viewing some like this and doing my own take on it. Easy, economical and tastes EXACTLY like a McDonald’s cheeseburger! The egg brushed on top is important for looks and texture. Enjoy!

Wow! She really came up with this recipe all on her own? Amazing! It really does taste just like you’re eating a cheeseburger. My kids love this casserole.

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb ground beef

3/4 cup finely chopped onion

3/4 cup Heinz ketchup

1/4 cup water

6 slices Kraft American cheese (you may sub your fave)

1 1/2 tablespoons French’s yellow mustard

1/4 cup Vlasic dill relish (not sweet)

1 teaspoon chopped garlic

McCormick black pepper to taste

Lawry seasoning salt to taste

1 can Pillsbury crescent rolls

Morton kosher salt for sprinkling

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375.

Place beef into large skillet and begin browning process.

When meat is about 1/2 browned, add onions and finish browning.

Drain meat well—you may place into a strainer and spray with very hot water at this point to reduce even more fat.

Return meat & onions to skillet and top with slices of melted cheese, water, ketchup, mustard, relish and seasonings.

Stir until melted thoroughly and well-combined.

Remove from heat and pour contents into an 11×7 casserole.

Cover with crescent rolls, pinching rolls together to form a solid top.

Brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle lightly with kosher salt for appearance. (You may use sesame seeds!)

Bake in 350 oven until golden brown, shiny, and bubbly around edges, approx 25 minutes.

Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
