Who here likes cheese, beef, and corn bread? What do you think would happen if you mixed them all together into a luscious cobbler? I’ll tell you,,,magic. Yes, magic in a ding dang pan, folks.
I can’t begin to tell you just how wholesome, hearty, and tasty this recipe is. For one, whoever thought that a cobbler could be savory? Whenever I think of cobblers I envision something fruity and dessert-like.
That’s not the type of cobbler that this recipe is. You can enjoy this yummy dish as a dinnertime entree. This is a meal that has been permanently placed on my monthly meal plan.
Another thing that I like about this yummy cobbler is its southern roots. This is totally southern comfort food. Now, when I made this cobbler there were a few things that I left out because I didn’t feel like making a run to the grocery store.
As you can see from my picture I didn’t add the corn but substituted it for red beans. It turned out pretty great! Feel free to mix and match as you see fit, but I do recommend following the recipe exactly the first time you make this dish so you can see what it truly tastes like.

Quick Tip: Serve this meal with fred greens or a lettuce salad.
The recipe calls for putting the ingredients into a iron skillet. I would presume you could also use a Dutch-oven just as well? Some stoves are not able to use cast iron skillets.
