I hadn’t until now and let me tell ya, I think the cute name won me over more than the picture of this creamy and dreamy cake filling did. You guys are really going to dig this amazing recipe. And guess what? it’s super easy to make, too!
One main thing I really want you to keep in mind is using real butter and Crisco. Those two ingredients are musts in order for this cake filling to turn out as intended. Also, you need to use evaporated milk and not condensed as they are two different things.
It will really help you out if you have a stand mixer as you just don’t get the same consistency as a handheld beater. If you got those bases covered than making this twinkle cake filling should be a breeze for you. Enjoy!
