Who doesn’t love apple butter? I used to buy jars of it every fall from our local orchard, not knowing how easy it is to make on my own. Then I happened upon this recipe that cooks in the slow cooker and I was amazed! It’s great from the orchard but it’s even better cooked at home. Especially when it makes the entire house smell like there are apple cinnamon Yankee Candles burning – yum!
I like to start out my Fall season right by “churning up” my own batch of apple butter for the family to enjoy. You can make a lot and put some in decorative jars and share them with friends and neighbors, too. The best part is that it’s so easy and they have no idea! They think that you spent all day cooking it. There’s no reason for them to believe otherwise. You can enjoy your batch and then enjoy all the compliments and thank you’s that come along with sharing in the wealth.
