A lot of people ask me why I think campfire season is over when summertime comes to an end. I always get a chuckle out of this question because most of these folks do not live in Michigan. Have you ever had a campfire in three feet of snow?
It’s not really the greatest conditions to roast your marshmallows. I can just see it now, “Mom! My graham crackers and chocolate fell into a snow bank!” Haha!
So, yeah, when summer ends and fall comes around, you can bet your bottom dollar that the snow is sure to start flying real soon in the Great Lakes State. I am excited to have found this recipe for 5-minute s’mores brownies because now, we can bring all of the fun of the campfire into the kitchen! And really, it isn’t as messy as traditional s’mores, which is a major plus for us moms.
