I simply adore this strawberry pretzel salad. When I think of salads I imagine lettuce or macaroni. Nope. Not happening over here in this recipe! This is truly a sweet treat that hopped off the dessert train and into my belly. You are going to love how easy this salad is to make and how wonderful it tastes!
This recipe has received great reviews over at Food Network! Let’s take a look at one of them:
Excellent! It’s delicious! Made it for Christmas and the whole family loved it! Even my husband who doesn’t like gelatin. My brother-in-law requested I make it for his birthday in February! It’s easy to make and will be a hit if you make it!
Ingredients
2 cups crushed Rolled Gold pretzels
3/4 cup melted Land O Lakes butter
3 tablespoons Domino sugar, plus 3/4 cup sugar
1 (8-ounce) package Philadelphia cream cheese
1 (8-ounce) container Cool Whip
2 (3-ounce) packages strawberry gelatin dessert mix ( i use Jell-O)
2 cups boiling water
2 (10-ounce) packages frozen strawberries
1 (8-ounce) can crushed Dole pineapple
Whipped topping or whipped cream, to garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
For the crust, mix the pretzels, butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Press this mixture into a 9 by 13-inch pan and bake for 7 minutes. Set aside and allow to cool.
In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and 3/4 cup of sugar. Fold in the whipped topping, and spread over the cooled crust. Refrigerate until well chilled.
In a small bowl, dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water, and allow to cool slightly. Add the strawberries and pineapple, and pour over the cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate until serving time.
To serve, cut slices and serve with a dollop of whipped topping.

Quick Tip: I have been known to drizzle a bit of chocolate syrup on this dessert. Try it. It’s very good!
Thank you to Food Network and Paula Deen for this great recipe.
I love your recipes and find myself wanting to make copies almost daily. I don’t know if this has ever been addressed but I have a complaint and suggestion. Suggestion first. Your bait boxes that show up in the bottom right hand corner on my Facebook page take up so much room that it makes it difficult to use Facebook. Do they need to be quite so big? Can we, the consumer choose how many we want to see at one time? We can’t make them go away unless we opt out altogether, print one or close one. But then another just pops up in its place. Next – The comments by jessica, beneath the food photo and the comments from other food kitchens print out as jibberish and cause useless waste of ink and paper. Most of these recipes take 3 pieces of paper if not printed on two sides when, in most cases one side of one page would be all that was needed if a little re-arranging of your site could be done. The top of the page comments could be put near the bottom, just above the area where readers comments go. That part, the reader could choose to print or not but having the recipe and directions follow one another without interruption would allow printing on one page instead of three and/or having to print jibberish along with the recipe. Very aggravating. If you should want further explanation feel free to contact me. Thanks.
I love this salad!
