My results? Very easy and delicious! I did fry up my own bacon and chopped a yellow onion rather than using canned. It turned out just as great. I do like the time saving option as well. I can see using the suggested ingredients if I were in a hurry, which is almost every day. However, even the kids had seconds… onions and all!
Now that I’ve tried this recipe and deemed it worthy, I have it ingrained so that I can whip it up quickly for the next family or friends gathering. What will you dress your beans up with? I love that these are fresh beans and not canned, it makes all the difference!
Ingredients
15 oz Jar Cocktail Pearl Onions – drained
2.5 oz Real Bacon Pieces
2 lbs Green Beans (fresh)- washed and trimmed
8 cups College Inn Chicken Broth
Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions:
Add all the ingredients into the crock pot and cook on high for 8-10 hours.
Quick Tip: Don’t add all the salt and pepper at once. I added a little during cook time but most after they were finished to be safe.
Thank you to Recipes that Crock for this awesome recipe!
