My mom had cooking beans down to a science, both baked and these amazing green beans that taste just like hers. I’ve tried unsuccessfully for years to either recreate hers, or the ones they serve at Texas Roadhouse because they are very similar. At long last, I’ve found the perfect green beans recipe! There is not a better feeling in the world than when you find a recipe that takes you right back to your childhood!

 

Now I know you’ll tweak this to suit your own taste but this is the perfect recipe in my eyes. It features all the important players; fresh beans, bacon and onion. The recipe calls for fresh bacon bits and pearl onions which makes it much easier, no messy bacon grease! Of course you can always fry up your own.
