You May Have to Hash It Out Over Who Gets the Last Bite of This Dish!

Stringy potatoes wrapped in creamy, cheesy goodness and topped with potato chips? This one is perfect for dinner or breakfast and is definitely a favorite in my house. I first had something similar at Cracker Barrel and fell in food love.

I couldn’t wait to try it at home. Fortunately, I ran into this recipe almost immediately! The recipe is very simple, just mix up the ingredients and dump them in a greased casserole.

Top it with cheese and bake till bubbly. Sound simple enough, doesn’t it? The crunchy potato chip topping puts it over the edge for me, potatoes on potatoes isn’t that weird is it? Plus, the leftovers keep well – if there are any!

Quick Tip: You can use any type of frozen potato, I just like the shredded best.

This is an oldtime recipe that in the day was called “Funeral Potatoes” because it was an easy recipe to take to a potluck after a funeral!
