Every now and then my daughter and I sit down and binge watch D.C. Cupcakes. The other day there was an episode where they used honey in their cupcakes. I love honey, it’s sweet, natural and gives a light flavor that makes me come back for more. I even use honey instead of syrup on my pancakes.
We were eager to find a great honey cupcake recipe. This was the perfect choice! The cream cheese icing is fluffy and light, and the perfect complement to the cakes along with lemon to contrast that sweetness. Moist and addictive, you’ll understand why bees build hives after you indulge in these, and family will swarm around them for more. I suggest you hide some of these for yourself before serving! They will be gone in a heartbeat.

Quick Tip: Pipe on your icing and sprinkle them with lemon zest, or drizzle some honey for a lovely finished batch.
