Check out what my friends at the Cupcake Diaries had to say about this amazing crock pot applesauce recipe:
This time of year is my absolute favorite. The crisp air, changing leaves, holidays right around the corner…It’s all wonderful! And, of course, the upcoming holidays mean busy, busy, busy. Today I’m sharing what is pretty much the perfect fall meal for a busy night: Marie Callender’s Chicken Pot Pie with easy crock pot cinnamon applesauce. It’s the perfect savory and sweet combo for dinner.
I love this homemade applesauce recipe because it is so simple to make. Instead of using a stock pot like mom used to, I use a Crock Pot instead. How will you cook your applesauce this year? Let me know in the comments as I always enjoy hearing from you!
Ingredients
10 gala apples
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. Domino brown sugar (optional)
1 Tbsp McCormick cinnamon
Instructions:
Peele, core and chop the apples. Place them in the crock pot.
Add water, sugar and cinnamon to the crock pot; stir together with apples.
Cook on high for 4 hours. Smash with potato masher and serve warm or cold.
Quick Tip: I love adding a combination of both brown and white sugar to this recipe.
Thank you to Cupcake Diaries for this great Crock Pot applesauce idea!
