Indulge Your Sweet Tooth With This Sensationally Rich Slow Cooker Dessert

I was not prepared for the results of this recipe!  Making a really good dessert in your crock pot can be a little tricky.  I’ve always felt like the nuances of baking aren’t really meant for such an all or nothing cooking technique.  In my experience, some cakes and cookies can be a little temperamental even in the best of normal baking conditions.

It was this sporadically successful baking history of my own that led me to search for a crock pot dessert in the first place.  I browsed through a lot of cobblers and sweet dips (Don’t worry, I bookmarked plenty of those to try later too!), but those weren’t exactly the kind of sweetness that I was looking for.  Then, I saw this one on the Betty Crocker website.  Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Chocolate Cake?  Bingo!

Quick Tip: Don’t forget to spray the inside of your crock pot dish with a little cooking spray before pouring in your batter.  This will keep your cake from sticking to the sides as it bakes.
