Skillet-To-Win-It: That’s What This Biscuit Pot Pie Is All About!

The weather is still a bit cold in this part of the country. It can still be called chilly actually, with the cold breeze sipping through every time we open and close the door. We are still wearing our sweaters and our socks at home too. Also, we still crave for hot food every now and then. Hot food is considered comfort food for the family; and we always love indulging on comfort food.

I decided to cook this biscuit pot pie recipe for my family just a few nights ago. My husband kept complaining about being fat (he’s not, believe me), and he said he wanted to eat less in the coming days. He requested if I could make soup for him from then on.

He’s not the type to be insecure, but he has his days when he thinks he needs to change something in him. During those days, I try to just let him release his feelings because he will be back to his usual content self in a few days. I think the “must be the weather” saying is really true.

So for the succeeding nights, I cooked nothing but soup-y. Light but flavorful, which my sons also love. They love eating soups and stews with homemade bread.

My husband has cracked on the third day when I served this biscuit pot pie recipe. He wasn’t able to say no to such a classic recipe. He was able to finish a couple of servings before he realized he was supposed to be dieting.

He forgot all about it and went back to his usual self the next day. He never could deprive himself of really good food.
