I am a huge sucker for cakes, especially strawberry cake. My daughter and I were sitting on the porch swing the other night and we were talking about different pastries and such. She asked me what my favorite kind of cake was and I told her that I really liked strawberry cream sheet cake. She said that it sounded really good.
So what did we do? We marched right into that kitchen and made strawberry cream sheet cake. Yes, it was almost 9pm, but who cares? You only live once, right? By the time the cake finished cooling so we could frost it, the clock was pointing towards 11pm. Can you guess what our Midnight snack was? We both giggled and laughed at how silly we were to make a cake so late int he evening, but guess what? It made a wonderful memory between mother and daughter.
